Foodtech 500: Global List of Companies Disrupting the Food Industry
Inspired by the Fortune 500, the Foodtech 500 lists the world's most innovative companies at the intersection of food, technology and sustainability. The list was created by Forward Fooding in 2019.For its first participation, Klarys ranks 281st in the 2022 edition.
How is the ranking determined?
The FoodTech 500 ranking is based on a scoring system that evaluates companies on 3 main criteria:
- The business size score is generated via an algorithm that predicts business growth based on financial performance indicators which include the number of employees, funding stage, amount of funds raised to date…
- Similarly, the digital footprint score predicts a company's online growth through an algorithm that takes into account website traffic, social media performance, and follower growth.
- The sustainability score, on the other hand, uses a custom survey and scoring framework that focuses on specific Sustainable Development Goals chosen from the United Nations.
